Happy Wednesday and Happy New Year!
As I previously mentioned, I got a Silhouette Portrait for Christmas. I mainly wanted the cutting machine for templates, though I did not get the upgraded Designer Software for it, which allows you to cut SVG files. I searched for tutorials on converting PDF files to Silhouette Cut files, but was completely lost watching them. Between receiving a defective blade and not understanding how to cut templates, all I wanted to do was send the machine back.
Wolfgang to the rescue! He researched and showed me what to do to cut templates. He even starting converting my templates for me and made a video so it would be easy to understand.
Please click here for the link to Wolfgang’s video tutorial on converting PDF files to Silhouette Cut files.
I hope this video will be helpful to anyone who has a Silhouette machine and did not purchase the Designer Software.
The link for the tutorial will also remain on the top of my left sidebar.

GREEEEAAAAT video Wolfgang! Great explanation of the process. I don't have a Silhouette…yet 😉 but I'm going to see if the same principles apply to convert PDFs to cut files so that I can cut them through SCAL. I have a few PDFs I would love to cut via SVGs/PNGs. Lisa, I think Wolfgang's a keeper 😉 Thanks for sharing!
