Tart & Tangy Ghirardelli Boxes

These Tart & Tangy Ghirardelli boxes are for two crafting buddies that I haven’t seen for nearly eight months.

I made these slightly differently than what I posted here and here. The box itself is the same. I started with card stock cut at 4 1/2 x 8, scored at 2, 3, 5, 6 then turned and scored at 1 on both ends. The difference is in the closure. The past ones I have always used ribbon to close the box. This time I used two different methods. The one on the left has a shorter cover and is kept closed by tucking the flap behind the popped image. The one on the right is kept closed with half of a velcro dot. I also put ribbon handles on these so they would be like little purses. I couldn’t resist using the new ribbon I got in the $1.00 bin at Michael’s! Can you see it in the picture? One is white with cherries and the other is red with greens dots. So appropriate for the SU Tart & Tangy set. I also used the retired SU Fruity Phrases.
