String Art Stamp Camp and More

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!


I tried string art and decided to teach it at last week’s Stamp Camp. Here are my samples:

Everyone enjoyed this technique and it was fun to see how each one turned out differently. An added bonus is you get two mirror images each time! As this Stamp Camp was also the new 2018-2019 Catalog Launch, we used the Rooted in Nature stamp set and Stamparatus.

Kept them quick and simple because I knew everyone would be anxious to get their new catalog!


I always give a little gift with the new catalog:

The cute apron boxes had samples of the 2018-2020 In-Color card stock on the front and peanut butter M&Ms inside!


After Stamp Camp, I continued playing with baker’s twine and ink to see how two flowers would look:

I used Mint Macaron, which is a returning color in the new catalog. Funny story about the orange flower, which was supposed to be Flirty Flamingo. Not thinking, I reused the string with Crushed Curry on it in the Flirty Flamingo ink and ended up with a bright orange color. Perhaps it will be in the next color refresh!

Sad to see the Stylized Birthday stamp retire.  Love the size of the image and font. This stamp is still available until May 31.
