Happy Wednesday!
Today I have a super fun project to share with you.
Harry wants to give Amber a gift for Halloween. Amber is the little cutie that lives in the house behind my mother. My mother’s backyard is fenced-in and it is so sweet to see Harry and Amber kissing through the fence. We also pass them back and forth over the fence so they can play together. Ain’t puppy love grand?!?!? I created today’s project for Harry and for this week’s Jugs 52 – Template Challenge.
So, here is the front of Harry’s Halloween gift for Amber:
The other side:
And, finally, here is the box with the roof off and the gift tag from Harry that will go on the package once it is filled with treats:
.
OK, how about some deets on this project!
.
First, the finished size of the box is 3 1/2″ wide by 3″ deep by 7 1/2″ high (from the bottom to the peak).
.
The dog house picture is from the Canon Creative Park site. I put the picture into a Word document, sized it, drew a text box for the name, and added shapes in order to insert the picture and paw print. It was a time-consuming project to fit everything correctly.
.
The fence, grass, and leaves are MS punches. btw, I put the tree on each side as there is a large tree in my mother’s yard right on the property line. Her fence runs directly behind it.
.
I stamped the ‘Got Treats’ with the JRS Small Letter Set (which does not have any question marks in it!). The bone is a digi image from OWH.
.
I do have a PDF with the template I created for my Dog House Treat Box, but I don’t know how to link it here. If you would like the template, please E-mail me (lisawhs808 at aol dot com) and I will send it to you. (I will also share the Harry & Amber Word documents so if you would like to create your own Dog House Treat Box, you would only need to re-type the names and insert different pictures. Note that the paw print and name are in brown on Harry’s house and in red on Amber’s house.
.
The picture of Harry is from June. I think that picture is so cute with his tongue sticking out. The picture of Amber is from Saturday. As soon as Anna heard I wanted a nice picture of Amber sitting, she went in the house, took a few shots of her posing, and immediately E-mailed them to me.
.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.
.
Thanks for stopping by today and sticking with me through this long post!
