Happy Tuesday!
This week’s PPA Challenge is a yummy color challenge–Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, and Very Vanilla.
The image (stamped on Naturals White and water colored) and sentiment (stamped in Always Artichoke) are from the Flourishes’ Christmas Classics stamp set. Shhh, I didn’t use Very Vanilla! I used a creamy/gold shimmery paper from Recollections. Isn’t the Offray ribbon a good match to Always Artichoke?!?!?
Let me tell you what not to do with your Northern Flurry embossing folder (or any other embossing folder!). Do not put it on top of the two cutting plates! Yes, I actually ran it through that way. It made an awful noise and when I looked I realized I hadn’t placed the folder between the plates. The folder ripped nearly in half. I taped it together with packing tape. Guess what? I did the same stupid thing a second time. At least I realized before I ran it all the way through again.
OK, a card and a laugh are enough for one post! Thanks for visiting.

What a great card. Love that cardinal.
Hope your folder is still working ( it sounds real bad)

Sorry that your embossing folder had a mishap but the background is lovely! Very pretty card!

Lisa, deine Karte mit dem Kardinal ist ganz allerliebst!
Oje, da ist der ja ein großes Mißgeschick passiert! Hätte mir auch passieren können.
Liebe Grüße Regina

Oh my gosh! I had no idea that putting it on top would destroy an embossing folder. Yikes…I am so sorry that happened! On the other hand, your card is gorgeous! I love the clean and simple layout!

Hi Lisa :o) You are soooo funny with the embossing folder. The embossed snowflake looks absolutely stunning! So glad you kept trying :o) And was able to "fix" the folder.
The whold card is so very pretty. The image colored so well and who does not like a cardinal at Christmas!
