This week’s
Paper Players Challenge is to create a Halloween card or treat holder. I made a Countdown to Halloween Spooky House

I used the
Creations by AR Dessert Cage Template, but cut a bat shape on top rather than
the bird.

There is a
double pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups on the top shelf and the countdown
boxes have mini Peanut Butter Cups in them.

The boxes
were made with 8½ x 7 CS, scored at ½, 2½, 4½, and 6½ on both sides. Here is how it looks after scoring and

For
assembling, the left ½ flap is the top flap of the box. I did tape the bottom of the box closed. Thank you to Karli for making a Desk Calendar
and posting the numbers for each box (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 0, 1, 2, 6 ‘doubles
as 9’, 7, 8).

Speaking of numbers, the two 0s were placed on the front of the boxes so they can then
be opened on Halloween (it’s all in the little details).

A few other little details, the ghost’s eyes are orange vellum, the bats flying out of the attic are on acetate strips, the Days ‘Til Halloween and Elm Street were created in Word, and the lantern has a spider web stamped on vellum.
