Happy Thursday!
Today’s card is for this week’s OCL challenge, which is to use OCL stamps. On Monday, OCL released a free digi image, called Love Floats, that Debbie Corbari designed. When I saw this card design, I knew exactly what I wanted to create with the digi.
Here is the card closed:

And, open with the pull-out:
Details: I did a lot of fussy cutting/paper piecing for this card. I printed the digis for the inside of the card smaller than the one for the front. I really like how the one hangs over from the insert to the inside of the card. The striped piece on the bottom of the insert is a pocket for either cash or a gift card (I plan to give this card to my niece for her 18th birthday). btw, I used real baker’s twine (yes, from a bakery box!).
Note: Rather than starting with a 9 x 12 sheet of paper, as per the linked tutorial, I used a 5 1/2 x 12 piece and cut on an angle to 3 1/2 on the one end. I was then able to use a piece of the cut off for the pocket on the insert.
Supplies used: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Real Red, So Saffron, and Soft Suede CS, MME Miss Caroline PP, Baker’s Twine, Misc. Button, OCL Love Floats Digi, and OCL In Flight and Out for a Spin Stamp Sets.
Thanks for stopping by!
