This Target mailbox is for my niece Samantha for Valentine’s Day. The mailbox is white and I used Red 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon to trim the front and back. Samantha’s room is done in an animal print that looks just like this patterned paper (from M’s). By the way, the paper is awesome–the black is flocked! I used the SU Heart embosslit die and large heart punch. I also used the MS scalloped heart punch (on the flag) and EK Success small heart punch (three on front of mailbox). The sentiment is from GinaK’s Tech Talk stamp set.
So, what’s inside the mailbox?
I made matching chocolate holders! There is a mini mailbox with two Hershey Nuggets. I have seen these on a few different blogs. The measurements are:
1 x 3 1/2 card stock (bottom of mailbox – round all four corners)
1 1/4 x 4 card stock
1 x 4 patterned paper
I used removable glue dots to hold the Nuggets in place. The flag is attached with a brad so it does move up and down.
The second item is a box with the Heart Sweet Treat Cup (Nestle Crunch heart inside it).
I designed the box to accomodate a Russell Stover Caramel Heart. The measurements are:
3 14/16 x 9
score at 10/16 all around
score at 3 9/16 from both long ends
snip small score lines and use red line tape to assemble box
I know the measurements are odd, but the candy fits perfectly in the box and the box fits in the mailbox.
I made a flap on the inside to access the Nestle Crunch heart.
