So, have you been to Lauren Meader’s blog or on-line store lately? I love to create 3-D projects and she offers some great templates. The one I used for this project is called In a Pinch. Wouldn’t these be awesome wedding favors?
First, the groom. I used The Paper Company basic cardstock in Charcoal Black. Isn’t that little boutonniere cute? It’s a small piece of tulle with a punched flower and eyelet. The heart was created with the SU embosslit Heart of Hearts and the large heart punch. The champagne glass is a Sizzix die and I put a bit of Stickles for bubbles. I used a MS border punch for the XOXO. The Thank You image on the tag is from a retired SU tag set. The little flowers on the heart were made with hand-held $1.00 punches using Pale Plum & So Saffron card stock.
Now the bride. The color of the card stock is Solar White, same make as the groom’s. The flower borders were made with a MS punch. There is a layer of vellum on the bottom that I stamped and embossed flowers in white. I added lace around her heart. And, of course tulle for a veil. The tag is from another retired SU tag set. I used markers in Basic Black, Old Olive, Pale Plum, and So Saffron. The white tag is layered on a Pale Plum tag.

Here is a close up so you can (hopefully) see the embossed flowers on the vellum.

There is a contest going on now until Monday, March 8. There will be two prizes. First, a random.org drawing to win a SCAL. What is that you might ask? It is the software needed to cut templates with a Cricuit. For the second prize, Lauren will be judging all the entires herself and choosing a winner to receive her entire April release. All you need to do is create something using anything from Lauren’s store–template, digi paper, stamp, etc. You can find all the details and enter on Katie’s blog.
