Happy Wednesday!
For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I am featuring embossing and coloring on vellum with the Tulip Bouquet stamp set.
Let’s take a look at my
card:
card:
I stamped the floral
bouquet with Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. A tip
when heat embossing (especially on vellum), let your heat gun warm up. I count
to 20 before embossing.

The image was colored with
a blender pen and Distress Inks (dye and/or craft ink can be used to color on
vellum). For coloring small areas, you can take the ink directly from the ink
pad with the blender pen. When coloring large areas, it is easier/quicker to
use either reinkers or to ‘smudge’ your ink pads on a non-porous surface and
pick the ink up with the blender pen.

For additional inspiration
of this technique, here is a light block using the Poinsettias stamp set and here is a card with the FOTM: Lily of the
Valley stamp set.

A closer look at the

The sentiment is from the FOTM: Asters stamp set. It was cut and layered with dies from the Fancy Label Dies 3.
Have you tried embossing
and coloring on vellum? It creates a soft and pretty look, plus it is quick to
color!

What a nice card. I never tried embossing on vellum. I guess I have to try it myself.
Happy crafting to you
