Happy Thursday!
This week on the Inspired by Stamping Blog, we are featuring ‘try a new technique.’ Isn’t that fun? I have been meaning to try the Bokeh technique for
awhile now and decided to feature it for my post today. Bokeh is a term in
photography referring to the out-of-focus points of light in a picture.

stamp set (free this month with a $50 purchase!), I created two cards to share
with you:
My cards feature two different techniques,
sponging and watercoloring. To get started, I created a template by punching a
½, ¾, and 1 inch circle in a piece of scrap card stock.
sponging and watercoloring. To get started, I created a template by punching a
½, ¾, and 1 inch circle in a piece of scrap card stock.
For this card, I sponged blue and purple dye
ink over about three quarters of the card. I then randomly sponged white craft
ink using my circle template. You can overlap your circles. I used varying degrees
of pressure when sponging-the smallest circles were sponged the heaviest. The
hello sentiment, from the Big Hello
stamp set, was stamped in the area that wasn’t sponged. A few random
rhinestones finish off the card.

This card was watercolored. Using blue,
pink, and purple inks, I watercolored the entire card and then used my circle
template for the ‘unfocused points of light.’ After stamping the hello

Lastly, a different angle to see the Bokeh
