Happy Saturday!
Welcome my Inspired by Stamping friends. I am excited to be in the Saturday Designer Spotlight today!
I tried something new for today’s card–I water colored on canvas! Let’s take a closer look:
I started by stamping the lighthouse image, from the May Release Seaside stamp set, and sun image, from Tropical Paradise, on canvas using hybrid ink. Using a ‘cheap’ palette set of water colors, I spread water on an-area-at-a-time and applied the colors. As I had never tried this before, I wasn’t certain of the results. I am happy to report the colors spread beautifully! When I was finished with the coloring, I randomly stamped a few sets of sea gulls, also from the Seaside stamp set. Once the canvas dried, I die-cut it and assembled my card.
Here is the inside:
The sentiment is from the May Release Seaside Sentiments.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I am happy to answer any questions.
Thanks for stopping by!

Our Cape Hatteras Lighthouse has the same diagonal black and white stripes, so naturally this card is a winner in my book! Great use of the canvas.
