Happy Friday!
For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I have two home décor
recycled projects.
recycled projects.
I always feel bad peeling off and throwing
away the advertising magnets that come on phone books. When the new books were
delivered last month, a ‘light bulb’ went on and I decided to recycle the
magnets and make my own refrigerator magnets.

delivered last month, a ‘light bulb’ went on and I decided to recycle the
magnets and make my own refrigerator magnets.
I used three images from the Basket of Flowers
stamp set. First, I stamped the pretty basket image twice and used pencils to
color. I fussy cut the floral bouquet, added a little sparkle, and popped it up
on the full image. The Love sentiment was stamped, die-cut, and popped up. I
stamped the sentiment directly on the card stock and lightly sponged around the
entire square. The layers were attached to the magnet and it now adorns my
fridge.

Here is my second magnet:
I started by die-cutting the magnet with a
die from Fancy Labels 3 Dies.
The die cut through the magnet like a hot knife through butter. I used the
frame image from the Fancy Labels 3
stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating die. The Don’t Forget and Arrows
are from the Pretty Planners
stamp set.

This magnet could be used to hold an
appointment card or invitation-anything you don’t want to forget. I chose to
use it for something very important:

Yes, that’s right-the ‘honey-do’ list!
Certainly not to be missed if it is on the front of the refrigerator! I used
the Fancy Alphabet
(one of my IBS favorites!) and Pretty Planners
stamp sets for the ‘honey-do’ list. How fun!

I hope you enjoyed my refrigerator magnets
and get some recycling ideas of your own the next time a new phone book gets
delivered.
