Happy Monday!
For my Inspired by Stamping post today, I am sharing two non-Christmas cards using the Festive Greetings stamp set. I like to ‘stretch’ my stamps (not
literally!) to get more use of holiday sets. I hope you like my ideas.

Here is my first card:
The candles were created using
two images from the Pretty Planners stamp set, using Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo Ink on Whisper White CS. They were topped off using Daffodil Delight Ink with the light bulb for the
flames. The sentiment, stamped in Bermuda Bay, is from the Petite Banners stamp set and was die-cut with the coordinating banner
die from Fancy Label Dies 3. The card base is Bermuda Bay and the mat layer is Daffodil Delight.

The light strand image,
from Festive Greetings, reminded me of streamers, so I stamped some fun,
colorful streamers on the inside of the birthday card.

Now for a look at my
second non-Christmas card:

So, how about that-I used
the light bulb and light strand to create a flower!
the light bulb and light strand to create a flower!
I started by stamping the
light bulb five times using Melon Mambo Ink (and yes, if you are more careful you will get a perfect
circle in the middle!), then off-set a second layer five times. The light
strand made a fun stem and the light bulb did double duty as a leaf. Both were stamped in Pear Pizazz. The center
of the flower, stamped in Daffodil Delight, is from the Polka Dots stamp set and the lovely hello, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, is from the Summer Fun stamp set. The card base is Melon Mambo.

Have you ever used a
Christmas image/stamp set for non-Christmas cards? I would like if you share
your ideas for the light bulb and light strand images.

Wonderful examples of stretching your stamps! I'm not very good at that since I have so much I don't have to stretch so much lol. Luv the little streamers hanging down- How fun!
Hugs,

hallo, liebe Lisa
das ist eine sehr kreative Umsetzung! Die Stempel aus diesem Material sind dafür ideal zum Verlängern oder zum Verbiegen! Geniale Idee und großartige Umsetzung!
Beide Karten gefallen mir sehr gut!
Lass' es dir gut gehen! Drücke dich ganz dolle aus der Ferne!

Excellent ideas for 'stretching' your stamps' capacities! Beautiful cards that one would never have guessed used Christmas stamps. Bravo!
