Happy Thursday!
Today, on the Inspired by Stamping Blog, we are featuring cards for kids. I
decided to challenge myself by making a boy card. I figured all little boys
must like frogs, so I started with the Flower of the Month: Water Lily
stamp set and created a spinner card:

stamp set and created a spinner card:
I stamped the hello and birthday boy
sentiments, from the Big Hello
stamp set (free with a $50 purchase!), directly on the patterned paper.

I cut a ¼ x 4¼ opening for the slider. The
birthday wishes and just for you, from the Teeny Tiny Greetings
stamp set, were stamped as a background in the slider opening.

The
frog, from the FOTM: Water Lily stamp set, was stamped on
green card stock, accented with a green marker, and fussy cut. I usually use
pennies for the spinner, but I tried something different with this card and
used two 3/8 card stock circles (one 3/8 circle inside the opening with a pop
dot on top, add the second
3/8 circle on the outside of the opening, add another pop dot and then the
frog). The card front was adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

As the two sentiments were still on my
block, I carried them to the inside as well with another fussy-cut frog.

Do you think this is a card a little boy
would like? If you haven’t tried a spinner card yet, please give it a try. They
are fun and work with many different images.
