Happy Sunday!
Today’s project is an album I made for my brother, Kevin, for Halloween. It is made with 6 x 6 pieces of thin wood and covered with SU DSP. I used quite a few punches and Sizzix dies for embellishing. The album can be folded closed as a book and it can also stand open on its own. Click here to see another Halloween version I made last year and here for a Christmas one.
This first picture shows the album folded:
This picture is the green side:
I think Kevin will want to put pictures from our annual family Halloween dinner in the five places on the green side of the album.
The flip side is orange:
I made the orange side for pictures of our annual visit to Blaze at
Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton. Blaze is a display of more than 4,000 carved and lighted pumpkins as well as various Halloween scenes.
Here is a picture of one of the pumpkins:
So, were you in the path of the freak snow storm? Here is a picture I took yesterday at 4:00 PM:

It continued snowing until 2:00 AM today. About eight inches came down at my mother’s house. My brother, Richard, lives 30 minutes away and he had about 14 inches. In addition to losing power yesterday afternoon, he lost many beautiful, ornamental trees in his backyard.
Oooh! love all the punchy details of your mini. 🙂
Wow I can't believe you got all that snow before Halloween!!! 🙁 fall should last until Thanksgiving right???
Hugs~
Lisa, Lisa, Lisa. This morning I'm reading the OCL blog and what do I see???? Congratulations. BIG DEAL. I'm so excited for you. Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations.
Your album is wonderful! I am sure your brother will LOVE it! And a big congrats on your new design team appointment! Woo hoo!
Das Halloween-Album sieht fantastisch aus! Die Seiten hast du ganz wundervoll gestaltet!
Uiii, Schnee! Den möchte ich hier aber noch nicht haben!
Liebe Grüße Regina
What a perfect albumn. Making out of think wood was a perfect idea to keep it from getting ruined over time! The pumpin is great, love the way you carved the word in his mouth. I bet the huge display was wonderful. We are on day 6 of no power or heat. I am sure we lost quite a few of our trees, like your brother. Our dogwood look like they have lived a long life and have gone to the great beyond :o( They even postponed Halloween for a week, lol.
