This is the card I made for my niece’s high school graduation.
I started with a white card base and layered with yellow. The graduation paper was a free download that I found here. I added a strip of black card stock and attached the pre-printed ribbon with three small eyelets. The sentiment was created with the JustRite small alphabet. The graduation cap in the middle of the sentiment was punched from the downloaded paper (I also used the paper to line the envelope) and the black and white gingham ribbon is from SU.
When I had the card completed I noticed a mistake that I made. Can you spot it? If so, leave a comment that you think you know what it is (but don’t post the mistake!) and then send me an E-mail (lisawhs808@aol.com) telling me what my faux pas was. I’ll send a little surprise to the first correct response. And, no, I am not going to re-do the card!
On another note, I received an E-mail yesterday from Laura (my blog candy winner) letting me know she received her package of goodies. She said she will be hosting a scrapbooking workshop in May, so the napkins will come in handy.
Thanks for stopping by and I can’t wait to see if you spot my little mistake!
4/29 6:45 PM edited to add: Congratulations to Sharon! My faux pas was that I used a Q
instead of an O (2nd O) in the word ‘congratulations.’ Those little letters sure are tiny and
my eyesight sure is bad!
Lisa

I sent you an e-mail

Ya know I have many eyesight issues too an I won’t admit it and put on my glasses LOL But who cares.. faux pas make us what we are ! LOL
This is a beautiful card, Lisa! I never would have noticed the Q. I had a hard time seeing it even though I knew what to look for.
Graduation time already! Wow! This is a great card!
What a terrific, personalized graduation card. I never would have noticed the “Q”.
Fabulous card for your niece Lisa, I too never notice the Q! Love those papers, Big Hugs, Nikki x
