Happy Wednesday!
The current Friday Mashup Challenge is to use Polka Dots or the word Happy, or mash it up and use both on your project. I went with just polka dots and made a Circus Train for my friend’s son:
It was hard to photograph the entire set, so here are two close-ups:
The monkey screamed to be hung by his tail and the Googlie Eyes are too cute.
Here is the flip side of the Circus Cars:
I thought spelling out Dylan’s name on the back of the Circus Cars was a fun idea.
As I am not giving this to Dylan until his birthday party in October, I only filled one baggie with Animal Crackers just for picture taking. Now I need to make a coordinating card.
I originally saw this idea on Dawn’s blog. She used stamps and dies that I don’t have, so I had to get creative. As the die I used is larger than the Chalk Talk Die, I changed the size of the box. My CS measures 4 3/4 x 3, scored at 1 1/8 on both ends of the 4 3/4 side and 3/4 on both ends of the 3 side. I also doubled up on the wheels so they would be sturdier. I glued two 1-inch circles back to back and then added the 3/4 DSP circles.
This project is so cute and is quick to make. Let me know if you give it a try.
Thanks for stopping by!
Lisa
