Fast and Festive Week One – Merry Merlot

Happy Friday!


Welcome to my first week of Five Fridays of Fast and Festive Christmas Cards!


Let’s jump right in to this week’s card:

I don’t think you can get any faster than this card! 


Using my awesome Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment, from Warm Hearted, in Merry Merlot ink on to a piece of Whisper White CS cut at 4 x 5 1/4. A 2 x 5 1/4 strip of Joyous Noel DSP was added to the bottom and wrapped with Merry Merlot and Copper reversible ribbon. This panel was mounted on to a Merry Merlot card base which was cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.


If you wanted to step this up a notch, you could add Merry Merlot and Sahara Sand snowflakes around the sentiment (see coordinating envelope below).


Merry Merlot is a new color that I had not previously used. It is a rich color that is perfect for the holidays.


And now a look at the super fast inside and coordinating envelope:

I simply added a 1 x 5 1/4 strip of Joyous Noel DSP to a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White CS and the card was complete! You could omit the DSP and stamp a sentiment inside if you prefer.


To mimic the DSP, I stamped a few snowflakes, also from Warm Hearted, in Merry Merlot and Sahara Sand on the front of the envelope.
