Happy Monday!
I held a Fancy Fold Summer-Themed card class on the 11th and again on the 15th, and today I am sharing the cards we made.
First up is a Z-fold card:
Ice Cream sure says Summer, though I must confess, I eat it year-round! The Frozen Treats Framelits were used to create a yummy sundae. Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist make a fresh color combo. The card base is 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2.
Here is the Z-fold opened:
The only stamping is the sentiment on the front of the card and the envelope. I thought this was the easiest of the four cards, but it took the longest to complete.
Next up is a front step card:
A summer class would not be complete without using the hot Daisy bundle. The Daisy punch is the best selling punch in recent years. The daisies were stamped, punched, and layered off-set with dimensionals. The card base is 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 4 1/4, 6, and 8 1/4, with an additional 4 1/4 x 5 1/8 piece.
Here is a side view:
Daffodil Delight is bright and summery. The sentiment is from the Watercolor Wings stamp set.
I always like center step cards, so that is the third fancy fold:
OMGosh–I LOVE the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set. One, two, three, four steps to a beautiful flamingo. Of course, Flirty Flamingo was used for the flamingo, along with Powder Pink and Tuxedo Black. You can see a previous center step card, along with the directions, here.
The back of the card:
The sentiment is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
We finished the class with a card in a box:
Everyone liked the swimming Seaside Shore fish. A lot of fussy cutting was done for this card, though it did come together quickly. There are three sets of sea grass adhered at varying heights. It really is fun having a pop-up card that folds flat for mailing. It is a Wow card that is easy to create. The card base is 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 2 3/4, 5 1/2, and 8 1/4 on the long side and at 1 3/4 from the first score on the short side. Cut up on these scores. A piece of 1 x 2 1/2 CS, scored down the middle at 1/2 was used to attach the box together. The fish were adhered with glue dots to three pieces of 1/2 x 3 1/2 CS, scored at 3/8 on both ends.
Delightful Daisy DSP is not just for flowers–it was used for all four cards! How versatile is that?!?!?
I always give my class attendees a table gift:
The Wood Crate Framelits and coordinating Wood Words stamp set were used to create these cute (and quick) gifts.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Wowsa! These are great cards all!!! And the gift to participants was awesome, too. I have to say, I am in complete agreement on the ice cream thing β if it's good enough for summer, it's good enough for winter.
