Happy Halloween!
Well, I wanted to post the exploding boxes today even though I didn’t get the all the pictures cropped and printed! I will be giving my nieces their gift bags tonight, but I’ll have to finish and add the pictures at a later date.
The first picture shows the gift bags and the exploding brides of frankie boxes closed. Amanda’s is the one with purple hair and Samantha’s is the one with blue hair.
The second picture shows Amanda’s box open. On one of the first flaps is a door that opens with a ghost peeking out and on another flap is a candy corn that opens.
The third picture shows Samantha’s box open. On one of the first flaps I made a coffin that opens with a skeleton inside and bats flying out (I originally got the idea for the flying bats from Raissa’s pop-up drink card). On the opposite flap I made a ‘scary’ scene with a witch, a bare tree (I hand-cut it) with falling leaves, and a fence (Sizzix die).
Both boxes have mini stand-up brides of frankie in the middle. I used various Halloween papers, ribbons, and borders to embellish the flaps. All I need now are the pictures! I will be using pictures of the girls in their different costumes through the years.
Thanks for stopping by.
