Happy Belated National Scrapbooking Day!
Did you scrap yesterday? I did! I tried posting yesterday, but had trouble uploading to Blogger.
Every Saturday Jennifer (The Buck Stamps Here) posts a clean and simple scrapbook sketch. The first picture is what I made yesterday following this week’s sketch (#7). I used Bazzill card stock for the 12 x 12 page and matted the photo on a darker blue. The ice skates were made with a Sizzlet die using shimmery white and silver card stock. Silver thread was used for the laces (quite a tedious task!). I used the same shimmery white for the snowflakes, which were punched with a MS punch. The title was done in Word using the Frosty font. You can see/participate in this week’s sketch here. On another note, if you are ever in the Orlando area during December, you should definitely visit Gaylord Palms. Well, it is a beautiful hotel/complex, so worth visiting anytime. But, during December they have amazing ice sculptures. They also have ice skating then and the main atrium is decorated beautifully.
OK, let’s get back on track here. The second photo is the 8 x 8 page I created for week #5. I used Michael’s card stock and matted the photo on SU SAB DSP. The ‘Fun in the Sun’ is a sticker and the sandcastle strip was made with a Fiskar’s border punch. The journaling was done in Word. And, guess what? I was the lucky winner that week! You can see the sketch here.
And, finally, the third photo is the 12 x 12 page I created for week #1. I used miscellaneous card stock. The letters were cut with the Sizzix Lollipop set. The ribbon is from Michael’s. I also used the square scallop punch, square punch, and round punch. You can see the sketch here.
I haven’t had a chance to participate in every sketch 🙁 . I do like scrapbook challenges though because they get me going through photos that just keep piling up. Unless I am making an album for a special occasion, I am bad about scrapping.
That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a scrappy day!
