Happy New Year’s Eve Crafters!
As you may know by now, I LOVE making exploding boxes. They never fail to get a WOW when the cover is lifted.
I made this box for my friend Anne for Christmas. I used Bazzill cardstock in Berrylicious, Witch Hazel, and Very Vanilla. The poinsettia patterned paper on the cover is from ACMoore.
For the sentiment on the cover, I used my JRS Small Alphabet Set to spell out: Joe & Anne on the top of the circle and Christmas 2008 on the bottom. The poinsettia in the center of the circle is from a four-pack of stickers I got at Michael’s. The ribbon is SU Mellow Moss.
The poinsettia in the middle of the inside of the box was made with the SU five petal punch. (If you don’t have that punch, it is so worth getting. Besides making beautiful poinsettias, it is also great for tropical flowers and punching corners for layering.)
On the ‘pull-out’ I used the ‘From Our House to Yours’ stamp from the retired SU Love Notes set. I colored it in with markers and hand-wrote Merry Christmas Love Lisa & Wolfgang.
Various patterned papers were used for matting. The corners were punched with the SU tag corner, ticket corner, & round corner punches, and with a Paper Shapers decorative corner punch.
I hope you enjoyed seeing Anne’s Christmas Exploding Box.
Thanks for stopping by today. I wish everyone a happy, healthy, and crafty New Year!
