So, have you been invited to any barbeques lately? I made this card as a thank you. Perhaps you plan on hosting a barbeque–it would be cute as invitations.
I bought this barbeque scrap stack at the Dollar Tree. Sometimes you can find some nice things in their craft aisle. The same day I got a bunch of eyelets on clearance at A. C. Moore!
Anyway, I trimmed one of the barbeque papers and matted it to the green cardstock. For the apron, I cut a piece of the same green cardstock 4″ x 3″. To make the ‘arm cutouts’ I used my round coluzzle (3rd circle from the center) and then trimmed straight down from the top to meet the curved part. (Hope that makes sense!) The pocket is 1″ x 1 1/2″. I cut the ‘Grillin’ and the ‘grill tools’ from the excess patterned paper. I finished it off by adding the eyelets (I just love my Crop-a-Dile) and ribbon.
The grill on the envelope was stamped from a set I have from A. C. Moore.
Since it is barbeque season, I better get busy and make some more of these with the other papers from the scrap stack!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Lisa
