April Thank You Cards – Drapery Fold

Happy Saturday!

Today’s card is what my customers received as a thank you for placing an on-line order during the month of April.


So, let’s take a look:

I made two color versions–Blushing Bride and Pool Party. A few of the products used for these cards will be retiring on Tuesday–Birthday Bouquet DSP (a favorite of mine!), Cotton Ribbon, Candy Dots, and Curvy Corner Trio Punch. 


For the drapery fold technique, I followed a tutorial by Lisa Reber (sorry I can’t link to it as it was posted in a SU demo-only site). But, here are the directions:


DSP 3 1/2 x 9 (will make two cards)
Score at 1, 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 3, 4, 4 1/2, 5 1/2, 6, 7, and 7 1/2
With the right side of the DSP facing up, make a pencil mark 1/2 inch up from the bottom left corner and another mark 1/2 inch down from the top right corner
Line up both marks on your paper trimmer and cut diagonally (this will give you two pieces for two cards)
Pleat on the score lines and secure with Tear and Tape

I’ll say it again, I am so happy Picture Perfect is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog. For the roses, I used Blushing Bride/Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party/Mint Macaron.
