So, how did you spend Independence Day? I spent it at an all-day crop! I was there from 10:30 until 7:30. We had such a fun (and productive) day. I really did get a lot done despite the talking, eating, and laughing! So, what did I get accomplished? I completely embellished a chipboard album (I had previously covered it with patterned paper) that I will be giving as a birthday gift (and posting at a later date). Next I started on a chipboard album for my niece. I got it half-way done–covered the pages with paper and started on the embellishments.
Now, on to the above pictures! They are some of the goodies from our crop.
I made the basket and strawberries. I originally saw the strawberries posted on Lorri’s blog. You can download the pattern there. She made hers with red card stock, which I was going to do too. But, I found this great polka dot paper at ACMoore. It’s actually Christmas paper–the name on the back is Hollyberry Blitz. I was able to get 10 strawberries per sheet. The paper I used for the basket and leaves is from Michael’s. It’s double sided and it’s called Zucchini/Spruce. By the way, I got the pattern for the basket from StampTV, under the Freebies tab. The basket is cut at 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 2 all around. The strawberries have Hershey Kisses in them. Everyone needs a little chocolate, right?!?!
How about that ‘Yummy?’ It was (notice I said was? he he, it went nicely with tea last night!) a chocolate muffin with a chocolate glaze and chocolate curls on top. We were given copies of the template for the scalloped muffin box. If any one would like it, let me know and I’ll scan it in and send it to you.
There were two door prizes given out. I won the second one–52 12 x 12 sheets of assorted patterned paper and a pack of brads!
I hope you had a great 4th of July too!
Lisa

Sounds like you had a good time and made some fun things. And what a great door prize you walked away with!
Beautiful projects! The day of cropping sounds like a lot of fun! Congrats on winning one of the door prizes!
What a great way to spend a day, Lisa, hanging with your friends all doing what you love! The results are fantastic. Love your paper strawberry. Awesome creativity!
I have made the strawberries but now I need to make a basket to put them in. This is so cute. I would also like to know if you could send me the template for the muffin holder. We are having a baby shower in September and this would be perfect as we are making cupcakes.
Thank you!
Sandi
OH, that strawberry and basket are just too cool! Sounds like a fun day. I went to an all day crop once and had such a good time. Would love to try it again someday.
